TechX Services, formerly Jenkins Food Service, has a rich, exciting history of providing clients with the best customer service, products and maintenance for more than twenty years.

In 1988 Rosemary Jenkins and her husband, Ed Jenkins, created Jenkins Food Service Equipment & Supplies. Their original concept was to offer a full range of equipment and supplies to the food service industry from a reliable, service-oriented local company. They purchased inventory and leased a building downtown on Forsyth Street.
Over the years the company was expanded to include refrigeration service, repair of gas and electric equipment, and installation of range hoods. Their son, Ted, became an expert at designing efficient and cost effective kitchens utilizing his skills with computer-aided design.

Rosemary and Ed Jenkins always believed that the business would grow and prosper if they operated with integrity and offered customers a complete range of products and services with the best possible service. Over the years they designed and built kitchens for most of the area school systems, the Navy, hospitals & nursing homes, and, of course, innumerable restaurants. The company grew and prospered from less than $300,000 in sales to more than $5 million.

After nearly 20 years in the business, and with retirement looming, they began looking to merge with, or sell to, a quality company that would continue to build on their reputation for superior service and integrity. They found that company to be one of their suppliers, Fire Fighters Equipment Co. In January 2007 Fire Fighters purchased Jenkins Food Service and moved the business to their larger and more modern facility.

For a few years, Fire Fighters & Jenkins shared a modern showroom at 5638 Commonwealth Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32254 where they displayed a broad range of equipment and supplies. At the end of October 2009, Fire Fighters Equipment Co was acquired by Cintas Fire Protection. Jenkins Food Service Equipment remained at 5638 Commonwealth Ave and continues to offer products for the smallest restaurant right up to the largest institutional kitchens.

In 2010, Jenkins Food Service was acquired by TechX Services, who now operates under the TechX Services name. Our complete service and management staff is the same, and we're still providing the same extraordinary service that we've offered for years. TechX Services, which now offers a general contracting division, is the first place to call if you're planning to open a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
